Hello Cousin,
I do believe I have found your Elizabeth, and she was a daughter of Gilbert and Rebecca "Ewing" Dulaney, born 1848 in Texas (according to the 1850 and 1860 censuses)Her parents were married in Itawamba County,Mississippi and they lived there a few years prior to going to Texas where Elizabeth was born, then they moved to Dallas County, Arkansas where a sister, Rhoda was born in 1853, then they were back in Tishomingo County, Mississippi by 1860.
Gilbert Dulaney, b 1811, Tennessee, son of Thomas Dulaney, b 1782, S. C.,and Rhoda Thrasher.Thomas Dulaney was a son of Daniel Dulaney, b c 1750, and Priscilla White of Pendleton, South Carolina.(Priscilla was 1/2 Indian, probably Cherokee)They were my 3rd great grandparents.
I began my search today by searching only for Elizabeth b 1848 on the 1850 census, then the 1860 census, clinched it.I had just felt that she was from our branch.
I have lots more on the family, of course. Been doing it for nearly half a century.............Melba
