Hello!
My father, Arthur Dale Dula, was born in Brownwood, TX. I believe his great-great-grandfather, who fought for the South during the Civil War since he was from N. Carolina, migrated after the War to an area in Mississippi. (He might have been prevented from returning to N. Carolina since he was in a P.O.W. camp in MS???)
I believe that he or his son migrated to Brownwood, TX during the latter half of the 1800's. My father was then born here in 1931.
I only know of a few names; Pierce, Dula, Duelle(origin?).
ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks!
