I'm seeking any information on Stephen Dukes and his family. Stephen was born about 1797 in North Carolina. I've found him in 1850 living in Jackson County, Alabama. Am operating on a theory that he was the father of Eady/Eads/Edith A. Davis. (They were living a couple census numbers away from each other in the 1850 census) Eady was the wife of John Davis. (They are my husband's ggg grandparents) Henry Dukes & his family lived on one side of Stephen. Sarah (Reynolds) Dukes father & siblings lived on the other side of Henry. John & Eady lived next to Henry. (Confusing, ain't it?)
If this jives with anyone, and you don't mind sharing information, I'd sure like to hear from you! (Am starting to fear I'm running down the wrong bunny trail) Would like to know about Stephen's wife and his family (parents, etc.)
