G. R. Dukes, from GA, d. VA in Civil War

Hello,

Recently I visited the Stonewall Cemetery, which is the Confederate section of the larger Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Wincester, Virginia, in search of a Civil War relative in my Brewton line who is buried in the Georgia section.

I came across a marker for a Dukes, which is another of my family names, but I have no information if this person is part of my Georgia Dukes family.

His name on the marker is "G. R. Dukes, 14" for the 14th Regiment, presumably from Georgia since he is in the Georgia section.

I have taken photos of the gravestone, the section, and the cemetery sign if anyone is researching this person and would like copies, just email me and I can email the photos to you.

If you could identify him, that would be great too!

Thanks!
