DNA information from the direct male descendants of Jesse Duke, son of Robert Duke of Lancaster District, SC and from John Duke son of John Duke of Lancaster District, SC would greatly help the search for the ancestors (and the descendants) of the Camden District, SC Duke families.
Jesse Duke emigrated from Lancaster SC to GA after 1804. According 'The Duke Family', Volume I; Jesse was born in 1770. His children were named: John M. (1791), Robert G. (1793), Stephen H. (1795), Littleberry Robert (1798), Edward S. (), Tempsey (1802) Seaborn J. (1804), Crenshaw (1807), Hiram (1809), Jesse M. (1821[sic?]), Jason (1813) and James Nelson (1823).
John Duke (known as John Duke of Tattnall Co., GA) emigrated from Barnwell Co., SC to GA after 1800. His children are listed on the web page of Ralph Dukes; http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dukes/john_elizabeth.html
