We are chasing our family history also but the worst thing you will find is that the Duhons loved to reuse the names over and over and over. Joseph, Julian, Cyprien, Marie are JUST A FEW of the names that that have many, many branches to look through. Even a name like Scholastique has been used by grandmother, daughter, grand-daughter, neice and so forth. We are chasing the direct line of Cyprien (which the lake IS named after) and digging through backyard cemeteries that almost no one even knows about and not on any records anywhere.
