Listers:

I am trying to make a connection with anyone researching the DUHIG family in East County Cork, specifically:

MARY DUHIG who most likely came from Ballymacoda.

MARY DUHIG is the wife of JOHN HARTNETT and the mother of MARY CATHERINE HARTNETT (1869-1950) who married PATRICK DORGAN (1860-1937).

The 1766 Religious Census of Ballintemple lists a “Willm. Duhigg.

The 1830 Ballycotton Tithe Applotment lists a William Duhig 1 1/2 and another William Duhig listed as “Harding, Connolly & William Duhig 12.

1851-1853 Griffith’s Valuation lists these DOOIGS:

Mary Ballycottin Cloyne Cork
Michael Ballycottin Cloyne Cork
David Ballycrenane Kilcredan Cork

Thanks,

Bill Dorgan
