Hello Kevin, Thanks for the response. After having sat up half the night reading these postimgs and info on familysearch.org etc, I would guess that there is a relationship on the Duhamel side, since both of our families are from Queen Anne's Co, MD., however indirectly it may be.
Are you local here in Maryland? I live in Ellicott City, Howard Co, MD. If so email me directly I'd like to find out whatever you know about the QA area and family and I will provide a phone number. If you are not here in MD, we can go over the info that you need to verify again and I will try to do so for you when I visit QA for my own research.
Any Peters connection is pretty doubtful. There were many Peters families in MD and some dating back to early colonial times. Mine however we are fairlycertain came here from Hanover Germany about 1900 and I have no info back farther than my gr granparents on that side. My gr grand father was William Peters who married Margaret Schluter. His brother George Peters married Margaret's sister Mary. They lived within a few doors of each other at Dundalk and Bessimer Ave in Baltimore Co, MD. There was also a brother August who came with them and possibly a brother Henry. My dad who is still living and blessed with a memory of every Baltimore Co family he ever met, remembers them very well, but has no recall of them ever talking much about their life prior to MD and never heard who anyone's parents were etc. There are no bibles, photos, letters etc on them either. If you do find any connection on that side please let me know as I am at a standstill with them.
