Sorry, I don't have enough information to answer your question. But I cannot rule it out either. In addition to the 12 y.o. (nephew) George P. Gibson that you have aleady noted, one of the Dugger sons, Dempsey R., married a Susie Gibson. I would, therefore, say that the Dugger and the Gibson family appear to have been closely associated with one another.
