CARIBOU - Herbert J. Dufour, 75, died April 11, 2009, at his residence. He was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Caribou, the son of Joe and Isabelle (Gagnon) Dufour. Herbert was employed at Caribou Public Works Department for 321/2 years and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He married Lucienne (Pelletier) Dufour, Dec. 9, 1967. Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou, are two brothers, Gilbert Dufour and his wife, Evelyn, and Vandale Dufour and his wife, Irene, all of Caribou; six sisters, Dorothy Turner, Doris Dufour, Sylvia Ouellette, all of Caribou, Mary Blake and her husband, Ed, of Reno, Nev., Leona Hurst and Linda Thompson, both of Ayden, N.C.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers; one sister; and a brother-in-law, Robert Turner. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of services Thursday, April 16, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian burial.
