I just found one message wich maybe of interrest for you ....I just post it without any change..

thomas.dufour@sympatico.ca
I am looking for my ancestors who came from St Malo, Bretagne, France.
Pierre Bonvivant Dufour was the son of Pierre Mathurin Dufour, who was
born in St Malo, in 1711. His mother was Anne De La Rue . Pierre and
Anne were married in the Church of Notre Dame, St Malo, Bretagne,
France, on 26 May 1708. Pierre Bonvivant was a soldier with the French
Army under Commander Berry, Cadillac Company. He travelled with his wife

and two sons who were also in the army, to now Detroit, Michigan, where
he settled across from Detroit in the now
called Windsor, Ontario, Canada. His grave is at the foot of the
Ambassidor bridge which joins USA & Canada near the Assumption Church
which he helped to build. Can you be of assistance? If not do you know
someone who can? Looking for the parents of Anne De La Rue and Pierre
Mathurin Dufour (Pierre Mathurin was from St Martin de Re', Chartente.
Merci bien!

P.S. There are many French Families of this area tracing their ancestors
back to France.
