Hi Wilson,

Quite difficult to go further ....
The Quinchien seems at beginning to be small river...all information I get when I search are related to genealogy. So I feel you should try to contact other family from same place...i.e. http://www.besner.org/1-17-Colon.html
my feeling is the nickname was not given when very young...
but everything else could only be guessed or imagine...maybe
in Archange Valade family you could find some more informations (if she had brother, sister...)

I am searching if Pierre Mathurin Dufour could be in my family trees but till now cannot find any related informations. I will keep you in touch if I could go further :)
