Dear Melissa,
I have looked into your requests. I checked Providence, RI indexes for marriages and deaths for Philip Edward DUFFY from mid 1800s to 1920 and found nothing. As parents, under 'births', I did not find Philip and Margaret listed as parents indexed in Providence. There was a Philip and Mary.
I looked at my pages for naturalizations and found 4 listings for Francis DUFFY. I don't have all the pages...
Francis DUFFY:
1) born 10 June 1866, from Monaghan Co. IRL
living in Warwick, RI
2) born 12 Sept 1867, from Ireland
living in Pawtucket
3) born 1853, from Ireland
living in Pawtucket
4) born 27 Feb 1883, from Monaghan Co, IRL
living at 39 Kossuth St, Providence
In the Providence Directories there was a Philip Duffy, laborer, listed fron 1883-1888.
I also have directory listings for Francis but I need to know your time frame better. When did your relatives live?
In the RI census I have 2 Francis DUFFYs:
in Kent Co., Coventry Town, in 1870, and in Providence, ward 1, in 1860 & 1870.
I have a Philip DUFFY listed in Kent Co., Coventry Town in 1860.
