Duffy Family Genealogy Forum

I am looking for information about my father's family. My g-grandfather, Michael Duffy, was born in Ireland (no county/town known) about 1850. His parents were Hugh and Sarah (Garvey/Garvie). Sometime between Michael's birth and 1858 the family moved to Dundee, Scotland where two brothers were born - one is John Duffy (b. 7/16/1860) and the other was not named so I presume he died at birth or shortly after (b.12/23/1858). I have no information if there were any other siblings. Michael married Elizabeth Neil/Neill (b. Lanarkshire, Glasgow abt. 1851) at St. Mary's Chapel in Dundee on 4/12/1871(Elizabeth's parents - Charles and Alice McLean Neil). Stephen and Elizabeth had 11 children, all born in Dundee - Stephen (6/24/1871), Peter*(11/3/1872), Elizabeth*(8/23/1874), Ann & Margaret (12/3/1876), Charles(2/23/1879), Elizabeth (4/26/1881), Mary (6/26/1883), Helen/Nellie (11/18/1885), John (5/18/1887), Alice(birthdate unknown). *These children are presumed to have died at an early age as they were not listed on later census records. Of the 11 children I have information on only 1 marriage. Mary wed Robert Campbell on 11/26/1902 at St. Mary's Chapel. She had at least one daughter, Dolly. Several family sources have told me that Mary & Robert owned or managed a pub in Glasgow for many years but I have been unable to confirm this. Several of the children moved to Canada (date unknown) - Charles (my grandfather), Ann, Elizabeth, Nellie, John and Alice. My father, Fredrick Ray Duffie, was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 6, 1918 so we only know that they moved to Canada sometime before that date (my grandmother was born in Canada). Any leads would be greatly appreciated as all of mine have dried up.
