One of the men jumpd and caught the rigging of the schooner and pulled himself aboard. The other two were rescued by G.H. Belcher, owner of the sloop Thistle, which was lying at anchor near the scene of the accident. Miss Duffy's body has not yet been recovered. She was a cook at the Manhasset House. At the time the accident occurred, the Emerald had no light burning. She is owned by J. Rogers Maxwell, of the New York Yacht Club.
