My great grandfather was a Michael Thomas Duffy born 1865 in Kilmovee. He married a Catherine Gaynord after he moved to Lancashire in 1890. The distinguishing feature of our branch of the Duffy's is that many of the family were albinos. Michael was and so was my grandfather Thomas and two of his sister's.
Michael's family owned a farm in Kilmovee where my grandfather spent much of his childhood. It was run by Michaels brothers and unmarried sister.

I hope this helps your search

Rachel
