I too am looking for NC Duffies. My grandfather George Oliver Duffie(b. July 24, 1904 d. August 12, 1967) is said to have been born in Rosemary, NC. That would be in Halifax County. His fathers name is George Tillman Duffie (b.May 25,1878 d. October 1962). George Tillman was known to have married several times and move quite often. If you have come across either of these names I would greatly appreciate any help. I will keep my eyes open for any references of James Duffy 1865. If I should find anything out I will be sure to contact you.
