I now have Hugh Duffy's marriage certificate ( Aug.16, 1866) and it states that he was born in Bangor, Maine 1846? (a death certificate states that he was born in Boston) - he married Mary J. Grimes (I have a death cert. and her name is Graham) she was born in Boston. Hugh Duffy's parents are James & Ann Duffy. I did find a James & Ann Duffy in Bangor, Maine on the 1850 census (both born in Ireland) - their children are: Bernard, Edward, Ann, James, Ictin?, Hugh, Matthais?, & Margaret. There's a good chance that this is the correct family. Hugh and Mary had a daughter Mary (my ggrandmother) - I'm still looking for siblings - I haven't had any luck so far. Let me know what other information you have on your Duffys - maybe we can connect.
