Duffy Family Genealogy Forum

Dear Claire,
In researching my husband's family, we found that his ggrandfather was named Thomas Duffy (b., we're guessing, 1865-70?). Their family came from Ireland, but went to England (Leeds, we were told) during the potato famine. He was married to Winifred Connor (or a variation of that name). We were told they had only one child, Sarah Duffy (b., guessing again, 1885-90? could be sooner). They all came to American (we don't know when), but Sarah Duffy married Henry Carlin in 1906 in Philadelphia, PA. Thomas Duffy became a policeman in Philadelphia. (Maybe Thomas and Winifred had more children and it was forgotten)
Anyway, since the names and circumstances sound similiar, I thought I would write. Any help would be appreciated. Hope you are still interested.
