Have you looked at Ellis Island records? Could this be the Frank Duffy who immigrated to America, from Hacketstown Ireland arriving in USA in 1912?
There was also a Thomas Duffy, born 1881, also from Hacketstown who immigrated in 1905 who was an older brother to this man.(Ellis Island records) It is possible neither were born at Hacketstown.
Was Frank Duffy a Taxi cab or Taxi Fleet owner? This was believed by my husband's family.
My husband's grandfather was Edward Peter Duffy, born 12 Feb 1882 in Ireland. Although, he came to Canada from Birr,Ireland, it is believed by family that the Duffys came from elsewhere in Ireland. Apparently it was known that Edward and a brother Frank left Ireland on different ships, the same year, Frank to USA and Edward and family to Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Edward and family left Ireland late 1911, arriving in Canada in 1912.
