Peggy, I know it's been a long time, I hope you come across this. Thank you for your help... wish you would have contacted me afterwards, but understand that I was asking more than you meant when you said you'd share more.
I've finally worked my way around the two marriages of Thomas L. Duffell, but would like to let you know that Martha was married to Columbus Travis before Thomas Duffell, and was either a Moon or Moore... she was listed on the 1850 census with Edward Moore....without a last name, but her son John E. Travis, age 3, was listed as John E. Travis...I looked further back in the Fayette marriages and found she'd married Columbus Travis, but it has her as Moon... possible transcription error.. I'm looking at the listing on the net. Also listed with Edward Moore, is Patience/Patricia... Washington Oliver Duffell's later wife....brother of Thomas Lafayette... so I feel Patience/Patricia and Martha are sisters.
Hope to hear from you... Vicky Vernon Martin
