James Dudley "descended from Gov. Thomas Dudley" was born say 1790-1805. He married Martha Ewing [parents unknown]; parents of:Sarah Rose Dudley, who was born 15 Sep 1827, probably in Quebec; died 14 May 1891, Sommerville, MA [married William A. Irwin].
I suspect James was descended from Gov. Dudley's son Samuel: father of Stephen, father of James, father of James (2), father of James (3), who was "living 1817 near Lake Memphremagog in Canada East [Quebec]."
Does anyone know anything about this branch of the Dudley family?
