Ok, I don't know much about Nicholas Dudley except that he was from Ga. and had a couple of sons. One was Joel Curtis Dudley and he was born in 1856 in Ga. He married a young lady by the name of Lillie A. Edens. She was the daughter of John M.C. Edens from S.C. In 1870 (I believe) the census puts Joel Curtis in Maury, Tenn. and in 1880 census in Collin County, Texas. This, I believe, is where he married Lillie, they had a family some born in Texas and some in Oklahoma. I do believe that Joel Curtis had some brothers. But I am not sure of their name as that dad gum ol brick wall keeps popping up. One of his brothers was in Tennessee with him. As I remember that he was a moonshine runner.
