My grandfather's first wife was Laura Ross. She was the daughter of Abel C. Ross. Abel's first wife was Maranda Dudgeon. Maranda and Abel were married in Boone Co. KY on Nov 29,1845. Later, on Nov 22, 1849, Abel married Sophia Dudgeon. Can anyone tell me if Maranda and Sophia were sisters or cousins or even related? Does anyone know anything about these two branches of the Dudgeon line?
