Duclos/Duckels link?

I recently received a copy of the Duckels Family History, prepared in the US in 1961.  There are no notations anywhere in it regarding source of information.

In the first paragraph, it states:  "The French names "lu duc,  DuClos, Doucels" and the English names "Duckit, Duckette, Dogette, Dokeson, Duck mean 'son of Marmaduke', common in Yorkshire and Northern England.  The Duckels family may have come over with Vermuden from Holland before 1620.  The head of the Duckels Clan came from
Amscotts, just inside Lincolnshire on the River Trent."

Is there anything in the Duclos family history that corresponds with this?

Sincerely,
Vicki DUCKLESS Flanders
