James Dishman b. abt 1781, Va. was another brother of Lewis Dishman. In 1799, Keziah Dishman rec'd a l00 acre land grant from the state of NC, the same land that was deeded to her son,Lewis in 1804. James, in his will pro. 1854 in Iredell Co. named children: Archy Dishman, Mark Dishman, Wesley Dishman, Dicey Massey, Silas Dishman, Letty Lambeth, Susy Lambeth, grdau. Nancy Dishman and grson, James G.W. Dishman and dau., Kezia Shoemaker. I have more on this family but haven't found the connection I need to Samuel Dishman.
My hubby descends from Susy Dishman Lambeth/Lambert.
