Dear Judy, The information I have was given to me by my Great Aunt Cassie Nathaniel Dishman was her great-grandfather. Lewis Dishman's parents were Thomas Dishman and Kizah Doublehead. Lewis had two brothers Jefferson Dishman born 1778 in Iredell North Carolina died abt. 1847 in Wayne County Kentucky. Lewis had four wives 1. name unknown 2. Ellender Beall 3. Ester Nance 4. Millicent Beall. Eleven children 1. Sally born 1790 married Elisha Harris 2. John born 1805 married Mary Hollar 3. Jefferson born 1810 married Peggy Spice 4. Jesse born 1815 married Theny Hollan 5. Lewis Jr. born 1825 married Linsey ? 6. William born 1825 married Mary Hilah 7. Nathaniel born 1826 married Caroline Whitlock 8. Jeremiah no birth date married Priscilla ? 9. James no birth date married Polly Nance 10. Kizah no birth date married Levi Baker 11. Rebecca no birth date married Noah Johnson I have Lewis listed as a farmer he died in 1864.
