Great information! Many thankss for taking the time to share it with Forum readers. I have a few commments to complete it.
1) Joseph was born on November 12, 1833, in Ste-Elisabeth, QC, as stated in the article. He was christened the following day. Source: Ste-Elisabeth registers.
2) Joseph got married on June 21, 1854, in St-Joseph. He may have been reluctant to give that date to the writer because, according to my files, their first child, Agnes, was born less than 7 months later, on January 8, 1855.
3) Some sources gives his wife's name as Marie Papineau, like the author. Other, like T.W. Denomé, say she was named Marie Papillon, daughter of Baptiste Papillon and Marie Belair. I dont have original sources to take position on either one.
4) According to a previous information from another descendant, Joseph died on May 17, 1903. Obviously, this is wrong, since he was still alive and well in 1924.
For the rest, the article seems accurate in all respect. So again, thanks Ray.
