Yes, that is part of the game, and it sure beats doing crosswords...I sometimes have better luck checking out spousal names...Other families sometimes have much more posted about inlaws, than their own families do...Without dates of birth, marriage & death, names and years mean little...Often, the same family name will have several children with the same first name, all born in the same year...I know that Pierre's father left Nova Scotia and moved to LaPrairie, Quebec, to escape the Deportation, his father was not so lucky, and ended up in Louisiana...There are three Pierres in direct line to my family. Each had at least ten children, more or less, naming them after their ancestors...It boggles the mind, when each of these children also named their children in the same pattern...Dubuc is a Chambly name, and all indications place this Pierre to be born in LaPrairie, where his father lived, not Acadia, Nova Scotia.
