George Wesley Dubel,(b. 6/4/1841 Wolfsville, Fred. Co., MD; d. after 1913 Pomono, CA) son of John Dubel & Sophia Dick. He married 2/4/1869, Susan Boller, (b. 5/4/1846 Graceham, MD). Children: Effie wed A.S.Abbott; Frederick S. Dubel of Pomono; John; Emmie; Ellen Meda (b. 1/4/1870)wed Frank Maxwell. George W. Dubel was buried in LaVerne Cemetery in Pomono, Ca. Information was gathered from "Index to the Register of the Families Belonging to the Moravian Community & Congregation at Graceham, Md; and some of their Neighbors 1759-1871" written by Henry James Young in 1942; pages 7 & 20. Susan was the daughter of John R. and Catharine (Reidenauer)Boller. Geo. W. Dubel's Obit also helped; G. W. Dubel, Dies
George W. Dubel, pioneer of the LaVerne section, died at an early hour this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Maxwell of w. 5th street, Pomono, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Turesday afternoon at 230 o'clock from the Justin E. Patterson funeral home. Rev. E.T. Braod, pastor of the Brethren Church of La Vern, officiating. Interment will be made in La Vern Cemetery. Mr. Dubel was born June 4, 1840 near Wolfsville, Maryland. He came to La Verne 27 years ago from Manchester, Indiana, locating at the corner of Fifth andI streets where he engaged in fruit growing, leaving one of the few prune orchards of that section. He resided at the home place until about 2 years ago when failing health compelled him to dispose of the property, and he and his wife have since made their home in Pomona with their daughter. There are left to mournhis loss, the widow, 2 daughters, Mrs. Maxwell of Pomona and Mrs. A.S. Abbott of Chino; 2 sons Fred S. Dubel of 958N. Park Ave., Pomona & John Dubel of La Vern. There are also left a number of grandchildren and great granchildren.
Sorry I cannot provide date of death it was not found with the obit. The Reference listed had more info on the Bollar family. I am descended from George's brother John D. Dubel.George's father John is the son of Benjamin Dubel and Elizabeth Reidenaur. I have found very little info on Ben. I hope this has been a help. You may write if I can Help further. Lots of Luck.
