Drysdale and Driscoll are different as apples and oranges .
Each families history is distinct , one separate of the other .Etymology is a good place to start with Genealogy You may want to read Surnames of the United Kingdom: A Concise Etymological Dictionary - Henry Harrison - Google Books , page 42, 122-123 , or any other Etymological Dictionary and find a passage in one that contains Drysdale and Driscoll defined as the same , as I have yet to find one
Driscoll is its own clan , celtic in origin with its roots in Ireland , where as Drysdale is by origin Scottish and sept of Clan Douglas .
Square peg , round hole type thing .
