I too am interested in the Drysdale family who lived in New Albany, IN. My link is Nancy Drysdale who md William Wilson. They had several ch all b. Scotland. They came to the USA in 1837-40.William Wilson b 1795 & Nancy was born 1796. Both born in Scotland. They came, we think, from a place called Thornhill. There are 2 towns of that name in Scotland but the other one is larger & near Stirling. This one is the smaller (I know nothing of the geography of Scotland). Another family name in that area was Dempster & there are still Dempsters living in the Nith valley. Some Dempsters also came to New Albany. Ellen Wilson, a dau of Nancy's md James Dempster, Jr. in New Albany, IN. My great grandfather, Andrew Wilson was a son of Nancy & William Wilson. If you learn the names of the parents of your Drysdales, I would appreciate it if you would share that information with me as I strongly suspect your Drysdale family is linked to "my" Nancy.Blanche Craft
