Dryden's in 1841 Cornwall census

I am looking for information on the following Dryden males who were in Cornwall in 1841.

At Carharrack:- Joseph Dryden 35, Wife Cath 40, Daughter Catherine 11.

At Tolcarne:- Grace Dryden 50, Son John copper miner aged 30, Daughter Martha 17 and son Richard 12.

At Vogue:- Joseph Dryden 34, Wife Eliz 37, Daughter Martha 9, Eliz 7, Joseph 6 and Amelia 3.

Mary Gillard Spinster gave birth to John Henry Gillard in 1837,Vogue, St Day, Cornwall. He became known as John Dridan after he arrived in Australia his marriage records Claim John Dryden as his father.

There seems to be a strong Dryden connection as a number of Maty Gillards children ended up being known by the Dridan surname despite Mary never marrying a Dridan/Dryden.

It seems probable that one of the above Dryden males was the father of John Henry Gillard most likely John the copper miner as the other 2 were married. Not that this would rule them out.

any information on the Dryden family in Cornwall would be appreciated.

Geoff Dridan
