Adele,
I received an e-mail May 17th from makikialoha@yahoo.com (no names on e-mail)noting DBW was a Hugh Drury descendant. Also mentioned was DBW's great grandson also named DBW who "started Dan Wesson Firearms which still exists in Norwich, NY, and died of a heart attack in Nov of 1978." I have tried to contact the sender with no sucess. I thought perhaps the original source was an obit in the local paper or something of that sort. Now that you have ruled out Betsey Baird I don't knoe what the connection to DBW would be? Perhaps it is simply farther back in one of his lines.
Do you know the Baird connections of Mehitable Baird, probably the daughter of Thomas Baird and Mehitable Boyden, who married Thomas Drury in Auburn, Worcester, MA on 1MAR1796. Thomas Drury was the son of Sarah Drury Wesson's brother Thomas.
