I am descended from Betsey Drury (b.1790,d.1875) of Temple, Maine. She m. Joseph Conant (b.1783, Temple, NH;d.1845, Temple, ME) in 1809. Among their 12 children was a Betsey Drury (m.1834 John Mitchell) and Charles Albion Conant (b. 1833). I am descended from Charles Albion Conant and am especially interested in Temple, ME property transfers, esp. land owned (if any) by Joseph Conant. FYI, this Joseph Conant and his wife Betsey are buried in the Scales Cemetery in Temple, ME. I have (partially) scoured the county records and find mostly Ephraim Conant and Ephraim Franklin Conant land transfers.
