Sorry I don't know who Dianah Drury Boykin was. But since there were Bridgers, Pitts, and Norsworthys in that area of N.C. who came from Isle of Wight Co., VA., and these families in VA had intermarried with a Drury family there, it's a safe bet that these are the same Drurys who came to N.C. with these other families. You might look through SOUTHSIDE VIRGINIA FAMILIES by John Bennett Boddie and also his HISTORICAL SOUTHERN FAMILIES series too.

I am interested in the name because the Bridgers Smelley family appeared in Northampton Co., NC area and there was a Drury Smelley, too.

I'm also a Whitaker descendant, and many of the Boykins in S.C. (Mary Boykin Chesnut, etc.) are related to that family.
