Joyce,
Ever since we first corresponded in Dec.98 I was pretty sure that we were talking about the same family; however, must have one piece missing to complete the puzzle!

I have a William Drury in every known generation going back to 1770 plus an Ann born on 12 March 1810.

Most likely more Ann's when I look into the children of my ancestors brothers.. Below I am giving you the family data in hopes that you can make a connection. Let me hear your thoughts!!!

Peter Drury born abt. 1770, in location not proven, was picked up in the Virginia census of 1790 and 1800.

Next news of Peter comes with a report that Peter was living in Charles County during the period of 1814 to 1820. It is estimated that Peter married (by one account in 1793).

Additionally he is reported to have married, by another record, to an Ann Hayden in abt.1816. (Question..Was Peter married two times?) (And who was the other spouse if there was one?)

Reported children of Peter are:

Benedict Drury b.1794....St Marys County, MD married an Ellen Combs.
Susan Drury b.1796...St. Mary's County, MD
Pollie Drury
Cornelius Drury
WILLIAM DRURY b. 1804...St. Mary's County, MD
Bennet Drury
Elizabeth Drury b. 1807-1808...Married a William Abell
Ann Drury born 1810
Rebecca Drury born 1820..Died 2 weeks later.

My lineage comes from the above Benedict Drury b.1794. He married an Ellen Combs (Coombs) and their children were:

George B.1824
William B.1825
Peter b. 1827
William b.1825 married a Martha Dyer in St. Mary's County, MD Their children were:
Mary b.1853
Martha b. 1856
Joseph Benedict b. 1857
Margaret b. 1859
William b. 1860

That should take you far enough to see if you can connect. Please let me hear from you one way or another...... Perhaps an expanded spread sheet of your linage would help me. If your data is in file form I can receive it at ...........Jim Drury
