I am looking for information regarding Samuel Drury, bc. 1804. He married Eliza Estoppy(spelled D'estoppi and D'estoppe in different places, probably French origin) at St. Mary's in Lambeth, Surrey, England on December 10, 1828. Both were listed as members of the parish. They had 3 children, moved to New York CIty in 1833, settling down in present day Queens, NY and were listed as "farmers" in the 1850 census.
St. Mary's has records going back to 1691, however, I could not find a baptismal record for either at St. Mary's, but it was a huge church - over 500 baptisms a year. Family tradition states the Estoppys were caregivers for the royal family.
