You are correct. David Alexander Drury was the son of Charles Nevels Drury and Elizabeth Rachel Mills. Charles Nevels Drury was definitely the son of Mills Nevels Drury and Delilah Duke. There was some confusion about the parentage of Mills Nevel Drury and also confusion about the name of his wife. This was because someone tried to connect the Drury line to an Edwards-McClelland line hoping to benefit from a fortune from a 100 year lease of land in New York. I remember cousins contacting my father about this fortune. That was a long time ago. I tried to document that link to the Edwards and could find absolutely nothing that would establish Mills Nevels Drury, Sr. to the Edwards family. But I could document Mills Nevels Drury from North Carolina to East Florida and then to Camden County, Ga. My information is on the Camden County, Georgia Crypt website. His wife definitely was Delilah Duke based upon a will by Delilah Duke's father. Mills Nevels Drury, sr. was the son of Charles and Martha Drury who were born in Virginia and later moving to North Carolina. I know nothing about the Sykes line. Hope this helps clear some of the confusion.
