Drury's from County Sligo
Posted by: James Drury (ID *****6670) Date: September 08, 2002 at 06:04:29

I am trying to reconstruct my family line that emigrated to the USA from County Sligo around the 1890's. My grandfather Michael James Drury and his brothers that included Joseph Drury, Eugene Drury, and Bishop Thomas Drury(former Bishop of Corpus Christi, Texas). I see that there are many lines of Drury's that migrated much earlier to the US and am wondering if my family brahcn is connected to them but emigrated much later.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help with starting my quest as unforutnately the records in Ireland during the Revolution may have been destroyed and you know how difficult it is first of all to start a papertrail and then to have a gap.

Thank you in advance

Jaime
