Looking for information of the first Drummond mentioned in the Aysgarth Parish Records in North Yorkshire.
He was called Malcolm and he married a Ellen Fawcett.in 1748.
They baptised three children at Aysgarth John who was born 1750 and buried 10-7-1750
of Kidstones and then christened again another John on 2-8-1750 of Newit Gil. Then the next baptism is for a Isabel bapt & burr 1769 and another bn & bur. 1770 the last is of a Joseph bn 1772 bur. 1788. Their is also a burial for a Peter of Bishopdale to whom their is an M.I. in Aysgarth June 18th 1774.
Then I have the following marriages but no baptisms recorded of the following Drummonds
1773 John of Aysgarth to Jane Carter Aysgarth( he maybe the christened in 1750 with a query by his death age of 85yrs this should make it 1752)
1779 Mary of Newbiggin to Abraham Wear of Kettlewell( have no death date)
1786 Ellen of Newbiggin to John Lambert of Newbiggin(age at death 83yrs poss birth 1761)
1790 Martha of Bishopdale to Matthew Heseltine of Thoralby(age at death 81yrs poss birth 1760)
1802 Daniel of Thoralby to Alice Metcalfe of Howsike Thoralby(age at death 70yrs poss birth1766)
1807 Rachel of Newbiggin to Ralph Richardson.
As you can see I have more children than those baptised and they were the only Drummond family in the Aysgarth Parish.
