Jim, I'm responding to your inquiry regarding the Drummond family in Cass/Bartow Co.,Ga. My grandmother was Arah Adner Drummond. Her mother was S.A.(King) Drummond, Who died Aug 1891 in Ligon, Bartow Co.,Ga. S.A. Drummond supposedly returned to Bartow Co.,Ga. from E. Texas in 1889/90. It is rumored that my Grandmother was born in Texas, but I have not been able to establish just where. I have correspondence between mother and daughter which is postmarked 1890 to 1891, which also included writing from her sister, one Mary Freeman who was my great Aunt and she occasionally visited my father here in the County of Rusk, Tx. Mary Freeman was married to a Jeff Freeman. Jeff Freeman and Mary are buried in Rome, Floyd Co.,Ga.
