Martha saw your posting to Jim. In case he does not reply - LDS is Latter Day Saints {or Mormons}. They have one of the best genealogical libraries in the world in Salt Lake City, Utah; the FamilySearch computer site; plus local genealogical Family History Centers.
Re the Drummond name: in most articles/histroies I have read the derivation of the name deals with a geoloical fixture; meaning the back of a - hill, mountain, or ridge. The following is from a book on Clans: "The early Drummonds were evidently closely related to the ancient Celtic earls of Menteith, whose Arms of three wavy bars they bore differenced only by colour ...." {meaning the Drummond coat of arms compared to the Menteith coat of arms}. "It may therefore be significant that the Drummonds not only took their surname at this very period from the lands of Drymen in Lennox (Gaelic - Dromainn, a ridge)...." Other sources refer to the name meaning the back of a hill. The home place for the clan is mainly in the triangle of Crieff, Comrie, & Muthill. This is where Drummond castle resides and is rather a hilly locale; but not near the sea.
