I NOTED IN "GRASSROOTS OF RACINE COUNTY"; IN 1845 REVEREND JAMES DRUMMOND WAS THE FIRST FULL TIME MINISTER CALLED TO THE YORKVILLE CIRCUIT OF THE WESLEYAN ASSOCIATION. THE FIRST CHURCH IN YORKVILLE RURAL UNION GROVE HAD A MUD CHAPEL...STONES UP TO WINDOW SILLS AND THE REST MADE OF CLAY AND STRAW.... NOT RELATED YET HOPE THIS WILL AID SOMEONE DOING A FAMILY TREE.
NOTE THE "MUD CHAPEL" WAS LATER REPLACED BY " A WHITE FRAME CHURCH" ON WITH A TALL SPIRE. THE YORKVILLE BURIAL GROUNDS. NEITHER BUILDING EXISTS NOW.
