Thank you for responding to my post. I apologize for taking so long to reply. I'm not familiar with the history of the Gallia Co. Courthouse, so I can neither confirm nor deny what you've heard. My relatives gathered information on this line, so I've never had the opportunity to research it outside of the Internet. It certainly would be a shame if the story is true, though.
I have very little information regarding the Drummonds, but I will try and keep an eye out for any Gallia Co. Drummond family I come across. How far in your father's family have you been able to research?
