Hello, Ralph. I am very confused as to how
my branch of the family connects with George,
but my uncle, who was a credible man, and a scholar deemed it to be true. My knowledge of my ancestor's begins with John Droullard,
who may have been Louis XVI's first cousin.
His claim to fame lies in the fact that during the French Revolution when Louis XVI
lost his head, (literally), John, who was very young at the time was shipped to England in a wine keg. He was there until
he grew old enough to marry, and married Rebecca Draper Cole, they came to US through Canada and then to Wisconsin. Later he married Rebecca Wilson. He was born in 1780, in Paris, France. His son Peter was my
grandmother's father. I have no way of connecting them as of yet.
I have a copy of a Document signed by George
verifying that he borrowed $316.00. My info
shows his mother to be Shawnee whose name
was Asoundechris Flathead. I also have a
book that quotes a letter he wrote to his
little half-sister. It was very tender and showed him to be a man of manners and sensi-
tivity, and of some education. If you can shed any light on how my family is connected to George, I would me much obliged. He has become one of my favorites. Thanks, Yvonne.
