I have quite a lot of info on a scout with Lewis and Clark with name of "George" Drouillard. Interesting reading! He was half Shawnee, or Pawnee. Educated for his time,
intelligent and resourceful. Killed 16 elk in one day, (so it is reported) with a bow
and arrow. Unfortunately, George made a bad
career choice aand died at the hand of Blackfoot Indians, not long after the conclusion of the L&C expedition. My grand-
mother was Rachel Drouillard, born in 1874, in Lincoln Co. Kansas to Peter Drouillard and Sarah Robinson Reynolds. She married
William Alfred Rhodes, and came to Calif by covered wagon in 1903. Any history of the Drouillard family would be greatly appreciated. I would like a map of the
descendancy to the Chevrils to see where they connect with my branch. Thanks. Yvonne
