Does anyone have information on William A. Drumgoole, publisher of the first newspaper of Wythe County, Virginia? William A. Drumgoole and Robert Engledow/Engledove published the REPUBLICAN LUMINARY, which appears to be the first newspaper of the county, near Rural Retreat, 1808-1809.
Robert Engledow married Peggy Drumgold, 24 OCT 1799, Wythe County, Virginia.
Does anyone know the relationship of Peggy to William A. Drumgoole? They seem to just "appear" in Wythe County. I have been unable to attach them to the Edward, Alexander, or James D. Dromgoole's Virginia families.
Anything at all on this group would be so very much appreciated. I have exhausted all clues.
