Shsaron,
I knew if I was patient enough I would find someone with interest in this name! I am doing the search for a friend of mine so neither of us, you nor I are related to the Dromgooles. The spellings have been all over the place, too. What I can't seem to find is where Phillip went after Wise Cnty. I have Susannah living with one of her daughters but no Phillip.

Are you in Texas? There are quite a few Dromgooles in south TX. I was lucky to find the book in Columbus. There are a bunch of Dromgooles in Colorado Cnty TX.

I looked on the Cherokee Nation website and found that Alexander Dromgoole married a Cherokee woman which would make sense since he was appointed Indian Agent. Unfortunately the Cherokee site doesn't have more history than that and the wife's name is sketchy at best. I find it interesting that the site includes such a unique name.

There is also a Dromgoole's Bluff near Vicksburg Miss where a battle was fought during the War Between the States and a Dromgoole Plantation in that area. Apparently, the Dromgooles held many slaves during that time.

I will be happy to learn what you find. Contact me on my email columbusrvpark.1@sbcglobal.net if you would like although I do like to share on the forum in case others are searching this name.

Susan
