You have the little I found on I saw by your mails- and I checked Ancestry,, and Family Search. SO not a lot on your surname!

The Herring's by so many spellings- I was in touch with Rose- found her ancestry page. We have done a few notes back and forth.

Doc (Doctor) Herring- (Daniel Henry) married Elizabeth Pridgeon dtr of my Robert-and that was what I was working on. He was the son of Giles & Judith Barnes-
Probably the son of Michael-brother of Joshua and Ichabod and at least 4 unnamed ones...

Joshua, of course married Kesia Drinkwater--- so my curiousity got the best of me-and I started on her-thinking it might lead to Billy- and his son- you.

It is a more uncommon name than I thought, and I don't envy you your research on the surname. Hope you are doing better on the lateral lines-and I did a bit of looking there too- Especially the Lee- thinking maybe they would either turn into mine-or those in Dawson.

Billy and I both remember Mrs. Lee very well-who had the drug store. Her grandaughter I think-was Jane Green- a classmate of mine. But I was never able to join yours up-and went back through Joshua, Dr. John, John, John Leigh. (Found more but QUIT about there!)

Woodward-I was also not able to do much on.
and not much more on Shelly.

If you have any other lines in the Dawson area I may have more- but so far I strike out-on what I know you have.

I have been at it over 25 years now-and my data base is over 10,000 folks.

Gerry (Brown) Hill-
born Geraldine Brown- 1938 Graves Station, Dawson, Terrell, Ga.
to Eudonah "Causey" Brown & Nina "Ruth" Hooks-married Dawson
Grandchild of
Wiliam Eudonah Brown "Will" Brown & Georgia Judson Roberts- married Dawson

Thomas Luther Eugene Hooks and Alma Elleanor Pridgeon-also married Dawson-but because he ran off with a 14 year old bride from Randolph.

Great of
William Nathaniel Brown & Mary Jane McMichael- Marion to Randolph. She died and is buried New Bethel Bap. with the rest of them-Graves.

William Jefferson Hooks & Amanda Elizabeth Aycock-Randolph

James Irby Roberts & Willie Ann Causey-also buried New Bethel

My Great-Grandparents-
Aven, Causey, Brown, Roberts, Hooks, Pridgeon, McMichael-over 1/2 buried there-balance Randolph Bethlehem Bap. 4th Dist.

And several generations before that- my family is in Ga-all in mid Ga counties-from Greene, Putnam, Harris, Marion, Crawford, Macon etc. Which makes genealogy more of a pleasure than a chore!
